This personal project demonstrates an environment rendered inside UE4 with minor final adjustments in Post using After Effects. My goals were to replicate a piece of background art from the film GHOST IN THE SHELL. I had other goals as well. Utilizing the Movie Render Cue and adjusting LODs and distance shadows to improve objects far from camera were among a few of the techniques I was exploring. I also made use of Parallax Occlusion Mapping (POM) for the decals, which add a great deal of realism if applied correctly, with little cost to performance.
